Waking Aida | Glow Coin

by Tom Johnson

We’ve shied away from the math-rock/post-hardcore side of things as of late. It might be because of a mellowing in our old age or maybe just a lack of bands coming through that are really grabbing our attention (probably somewhere between the two), but regardless of that, when it’s done well it remains one of the most joyous and invigorating genres. Southampton’s Waking Aida know this. You can hear it in the playful vein that runs right through the middle of Glow Coin, but also in those spiky guitars and crashing percussion that suddenly bring the track to life and rips away any trace of idleness from proceedings.

The track precedes the release of their brand new album Eschaton (full details below) and we’re very pleased to unveil the official video for Glow Coin, which was written and directed by Tom Jordan. Check it out below.

Eschaton is out on June 2nd through Robot Needs Home.
