The Seams

Described as “Real Estate with less whimsey” by Stereogum¬†when they premiered the track last week, the brilliant new track from Toronto’s The Seams today gets a suitably zesty video accompaniment – and we’re very pleased to unveil the charming film clip in the right here and now.

Following on from debut album Meet The Seams, released last year via Hand Drawn Dracula, and featuring members of Fake Palms, U.S. Girls, Elsa, and WISH, the quartet’s latest track is one of a new collection of singles that the band recorded with renowned Canadian musician/producer Ian McGettigan and it comes laced with a nostalgic vein running right through its hazy core. Like some snapshot of summer, the song almost wilts under the weight of winter but such sentiments are diluted by the new video which adds a big dash of charm to the whole piece, somewhat transforming the track in to a wistful and stirring reminder of summer.

Check out the new video below right now; the song itself was released on Friday and you can buy it for a single Canadian dollar via the label’s Bandcamp page right here.
