The Pooches

The Light

by tom johnson

Another utterly delectable three-minutes arrives today as Glasgow’s The Pooches unveil ‘The Light’ from their forthcoming new record, alongside a brand new music video for said track. The self-titled record is released on September 9th, via Lame-O Records, and ‘The Light’ continues its near-flawless display of languid, hazy, pop gems.

Laced, once again, with all that glowing charm that weaved its way through the likes of Teenage Fanclub and Belle & Sebastian, ‘The Light’ glides through its endearing three-minutes, Jimmy Hindle guiding the band through the same kind of mellow, glowing landscapes that made January’s Heart Attack EP such a delightful companion. The new video, directed by Luke Barham and released today, is a suitably appeasing accompaniment, a day in the life of the most loveable pooch you’re likely to encounter this Summer.

The full record is out in a just a few weeks time (September 9th); you can listen to a few tracks from it here and be sure to check-out the new video below right now.
