Almost unfairly dreamy, given that it arrives at a time of year so far from hazy summer reclines, Portland trio Two Moons today kick-start the dash towards their new EP release with brilliant new track “Being Here” – and we’re very pleased to share it below. Strings, the band’s new six-track collection, is released on February 3rd via Good Cheer Records and the relentless shimmer of the aforementioned track immediately marks it out as one of the key lofi releases in the first quarter of 2017 that we all find ourselves in, bleary-eyed and somewhat unstable.
Fashioned from suitably grainy surroundings – twangy guitars, background ambience, a glorious distortion to the whole thing – the new track crafts its magic in the endearing vocal hooks that leap out of the track at every given opportunity; the whole thing crackling out of the speakers like some unheralded gem tumbling out of some half-busted tape deck during one of those road-trips that only reveals its true significance in the quiet aftermath.
Radiant, rugged, and full of life, the new track is a heady way to start the new year – and you can stream it below right now.
