Blasting its way out of a brand new 3-track cd-r from pjaro, ‘Passed Out, Covered In Drugs‘ is the first track to be lifted from the first release on new label Certain Death, which is a collaboration between the brilliant Tye Die Tapes and pjaro – the EP will also get a release via Australian label Ruined Smile.
The new release – a collection of the old and new, and boasting a mesmeric nine-minute Krautrock-ish number – sees the light of day on May 4th, and ‘Passed Out, Covered In Drugs’ is the tantilising first taster. Led by a punchy blast of guitar crunch and some perfectly restless percussion, the track unfolds over just two and a half minutes, all pent-up aggression and the somewhat accusatory refrain of “When you look in the mirror, do you smile?”
Riding the perfect line between languid posturing and a razor sharp sense of adventure, the track is a hella catchy, brilliantly boisterous next step from the band – and you can check it out below right now.
The full EP is released on May 4th, via Tye Die Tapes/Certain Death
