Already one of the season’s and year’s most immersive and enchanting records, C Duncan’sThe Midnight Sun” LP, and the tender electronic balladry that runs throughout it, is given even more weightless depth on a beautiful new remix courtesy of Northampton’s finest multi-instrumental producer, Maps – and we’re very pleased to unveil it here today.

Tied in with the news that C Duncan will support Elbow on their UK tour next year, alongside a slew of headline dates for January and February, the new remix takes album stand-out “Wanted To Want It Too” and carefully pulls it apart; retaining that beautiful use of vocals while adding a glowing sense of exploration to the whole thing. The Midnight Sun is out now (buy it here) and you can find the full set of tour dates below. Here’s what Maps’ James Chapman had to say about the new cut:

“I am a huge admirer of C Duncan’s work, so it was a pleasure to remix this track. He makes great use of harmonies in his songs and also uses very interesting chord progressions – I wanted to keep both of these elements in the mix, but also add to the the uplifting feeling of the song.”
