It’s the weekend! The weather looks all set to be shite, so put a warm jumper on, pour yourself an ale and indulge in the tracks below; all of which dropped into the GFP inbox this week. ENJOY.

Everglade ~ Orchid

Orchid is “Dutch Post-Balaeric“, apparently. Meh. However you wish to label this new release from the wonderful ZoologyRecords, the point still stands that this is a tremendously infectious fuzzy-synth workout. At-once both reflective and extremely danceable, the track is available as a free download here.

Satellite Stories ~ Sirens

Imagine is Scandinavians suddenly stopped making perfect pop music? The world would be SCREWED. Thankfully they keep churning them out for fun and Satellite Stories stole our hearts this week with new track Sirens. The original version is great (check it) but we’re even bigger fans of the Slow Magic remix below.

boy – fou

We found this on a late-night Bandcamp hunt and the bands page gives absolutely nothing away. We know that they’re a trio and that they’re from dubai. Maybe. Whatever, this track is glorious; all soothing vocals and Real Estate guitar vibes. If you’re in this band and you read this, please email us and be out best friends.

Deafkid ~ Pig

Two of Ghostpoet’s band go it alone on a new project entitled Deafkid. Christopher Lockington and Florian Sauvaire came up with the tracks in between work with the Mercury-nomintaed virtuoso and the result is a thoroughly engaging electro-indie shuffle. The AA-side single is released on November 12th.

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart ~ Jeremy

Everyone’s favourite musical acronym, TPOBPAH return with their first new music since the release of their 2011 LP, Belong. The AA-side single will be digitally next week and on vinyl at the end of the month. The two-track release features two covers; ‘My Life is Wrong’ by East River Pipe features on the flip-side, while this rousing take on The Magnetic Fields’ Jeremy, takes centre-stage.

Wild Swim ~ Echo

Yes, yes, yes he sounds like the dude from Wild Beasts, but only during the intro! Also this is still pretty glorious, right? And they’re still in their teens, the bastard show-offs. Echo is taken from the Oxford bands Steve Osborne-produced (New Order, Suede) EP, which sees the light of day on Monday 26th November. They play at Swn Festival so be sure to check them out if you’re heading along.

Splashh ~ So Young

Many a’time I have been listening to Splashh and decided that they’re the best new band in the whole wide world. Their early demo’s were never anything less than completely thrilling and the fact that they’re able to turn out B-Side as head-swirlingly brilliant as So Young makes me think I was probably right all along. WONDERFUL. The Vacation single is vailable November 5th on Luv Luv Luv Records.

Los Jardines de Bruselas – On the Moon (Together)

Finally, our favourite discovery of the week is Los Jardines de Bruselas a home-recorded dreampop record from Buenos Aries. The whole thing is magical; beautiful guitar lines, an MGMT-ish  pop strut and more delectable hooks than a Little Bo Peep fancy dress party. We recommend listening to the entire record on on Bandcamp, but if you need any further convincing then check out the track below. We want to be on the moon with you! Take us, take us!
