First Listen:

Wolf Girl

by tom johnson

Positively swerving all notions of nominative determinism, “Moody” is the brilliant new track from London upstarts Wolf Girl, and it makes for a gleaming head-rush of a track, all gnarly slabs of guitar and golden, infectious vocals. Released in the run up to next week’s string of dates with The Whooperups, a new project from The Spook School’s Anna which also features Becky from Wolf Girl – learn more about that here via our friends at For The Rabbits – the new single is released via Cardiff’s Oddbox Records and is available right now via the link at the bottom of the page.

Following on from last year’s full-length effort, and their highly-recommended debut release on Soft Power Records, the new track finds Wolf Girl, once again, in effervescent form, “Moody” hurtling through its three-and-a-half minutes in a rush of glowing energy and memorable hooks, further cementing the band’s flourishing reputation as purveyors of sparkling guitar-pop. Stream it below to your heart’s content.
