Furthering Forged Artifacts’ brilliantly solid 2017 release schedule, the label today unveil latest signing Stanley with the sharing of new track “Brewin’ Up“, lifted from Ryan Gebhardt’s brand new album which will be released at the end of September – pre-orders for which are available right now (here).
But the sun is setting on the pavement lines
Pick me up and drive away
Recorded in New York through the earlier months of the year, the brilliant new song, which we’re premiering below from today, ended up being a key protagonist on the whole record. “The rich guitar melodies around which that song was built paved the way for a style of writing that shapes the entirety of this debut album,” Genhardt tells us, adding an extra level of intrigue to the new song, which dutifully makes an immediate impression.
Those aforementioned guitar melodies are suitably front-and-centre from the get-go, lilting beautifully alongside an unhurried backdrop of percussion, the whole instrumental propping up a swooning lead vocal that can’t help but stir imagery of days lost to the golden glow of summer, and all the romantic possibilities that consume us on such days.
Woozy and beautifully full of colour, “Brewin’ Up” makes for a lovely start-point to the new project; a gorgeous pop song that might well change the shade of your afternoon. Check it out below right now.
