Lazy Day

“Disappear”

~

by tom johnson

A beautifully melodic return, “Disappear” is a brand new track from Tilly Scantlebury’s Lazy Day project, and it radiates the kind of warmth that might well leave you feeling like she’s never even been away. Released via the Isle of Eigg’s Lost Map label, as a lovely, real life 7″ single on November 4th, the new track precedes a handful of Lazy Day live shows that take in Edinburgh, Brighton, and London, over the next couple of months (see below for details).

Led by Scantlebury’s always-engaging lead vocal, the new track finds Lazy Day in full-band mode, and the swelling instrumentation that backs the whole thing is up is just as pertinent a tool as that aforementioned voice. Quietly building towards it’s more raucous second-half, “Disappear” is a dense swell of a track, the thick guitars billowing somewhere in the background before the whole thing unfolds in to some grunge-y/dream-pop hybrid that might well make for the band’s most engaging release to-date. Stream it below.

You can pre-order the 7″ here, via Lost Map Records

Live Dates:

October 1st – Edinburgh, Lost Map presents Future Echoes

October 5th – Brighton, The Green Door Store

November 10th – London, The Victoria
