Not For Me

~

words by tom johnson

Securing promotion in fine style, as it were, the mighty Forth Wanderers have announced that they’re joining Sub Pop Records for the release of their brand new second record, the details for which have also been shared today, with its release coming later this Spring. Covered on these pages many times before, the New Jersey band have previously released with the likes of Seagreen Records and Father/Daughter, as well as House Anxiety/Marathon Artists in the EU, and now joined the esteemed ranks of Sub Pop for their next chapter.

Also shared alongside the news is the record’s lead track ‘Not For Me’ and it’s as wholesome and heartening as we’ve come to expect, led, as always, by Ava Trilling’s tremendous lead voice which leaps between glowing energy and something altogether more melancholic, but always pushed to sumptuous heights by the muscular backing of the band, which continues to be a bold and pertinent facet of the band’s stature.

A woozy, wonderful return – you can check out the new track below right now. The album arrives on April 27th.
