Teased, confirmed, and now brought in to beautiful technicolour today, the inimitable Feist has released the title track from her brand new album “Pleasure”, her new album which follows at the end of April, and her first new release since 2011’s Metals LP.
A skewed, gleaming, shape-shifting beast, the new track rolls through various, bewitching set-pieces, simmering for the tender first-half before leaping in to something altogether more robust and turbulent. Led, as always, with compelling grace, by Feist’s striking lead voice, “Pleasure” flips between genres and tones like a flip-book of colours; sometimes gnarly and unshackled, elsewhere timid, alluring, and poignant.
Satisfyingly nuanced, suitably gorgeous and sweeping, it’s an imposing return from one of the year’s most highly-anticipated releases – and you can check it out below right now.
