Escapists | Faraday Cage

by Tom Johnson

Prepping the celebrations for the release of their debut album, Only Bodies, which is out next week, we’re very pleased to bring you an exclusive listen of a brand new track from Escapists, in the form of the scintillating ‘Faraday Cage‘. Led by a heady buzz of guitars, a tone which shifts expertly between the dark and bright, loud and quiet, and a suitably enthusiastic vocal, the track is could well be their most emphatic statement to-date.

The album was recorded with James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses, Dry The River, Rhodes) and lead singer Simon Glancy says: “Musically it’s everything that we wanted in an album, pulling from all of our influences to create something completely diverse that would sit on the shelf alongside those bands that made us fall in love with music.”

Listening through the tracks below it’s safe to say that they’ve managed to do just that. Be sure to check out ‘Faraday Cage’ and then pre-order the album here.
