Retreat (Light The Fire)

With just a handful of days to go until the release of new album Habitat, Jesse Crowe and Josh Korody today unveil the latest Beliefs video, a bold and brilliant set of visuals to accompany the simmering melodrama of latest track ‘Retreat (Light The Fire)‘ – and we’re very pleased to share it with you here today.
The song itself is as warped and wonderful as we’ve come to expect, the whole thing seemingly pitched on the very precipice of falling apart throughout, the vivid instrumentation juxtaposed by a led vocal which is anything but, that fades and reclines whenever it approaches the surface. Taken somewhere else even more dystopian thanks to the enigmatic new video, the whole thing makes for a wholly captivating departure from normality. Or, as Jesse Crowe says:
“Flashing with the hypnotic rhythm of “Retreat”, our two characters become the music as they rise and fall within the stark environment of urban isolation. “Retreat” deals with the struggle of reality vs perception; nature vs technology.”
