Assuming a somewhat fanciful character from the outset, Pro Teens’ new track is a colourful beast of song, where jagged instrumentals meet those somewhat languid vocals to create something both dizzying and diamond-like resulting in a song that could brighten the corners in most any place it finds a home.
Lifted from the band’s forthcoming ‘Philistines’ collection, the follow-up to last year’s brilliant debut and released in early November via Broken Circles, the new track is premiering below from today and lands an immediate impact, the palpable wooziness of the production grabbing the senses and taking the listener on some sudden and sumptuous soiree of sound.
Slightly less cluttered than its no-less compelling predecessor, She’s Gonna Be So Great, ‘Signals Crossed’ is a three-minute burst of elegant groove, a strict departure from the current season, one that throws you right back in to the waiting arms of summer; beaming and energetic, almost creating a world all of its own.
