The first taste of the forthcoming new album from Toronto’s Beds, ‘Duluoz’ is a short statement but a memorable one to-boot, flooding the ether with an often sumptuous burst of affecting vocals and floral guitars that feel beautifully robust.
Self-described as “slackadelic soul” there certainly is a woozy mix of both flourishing psych and something approaching the more withdrawn, lethargic side of the coin. These two limbs make for a compelling totality, however, and the new track glimmers with a striking sparkle throughout. Joined by a brand new video, filmed and edited by “celluloid fetishist” Johan Arthurs, as well the band’s own Edmund Stay, it makes for a rather sumptuous introduction – and you can check it out below right now.
