GoldFlakePaint is a curious music journal and blog, founded in 2010.
Showcasing writers from across the globe, GFP offers a heartfelt and in-depth look inside our favourite new music, via a combination of reviews, conversations, and unique mixes. Our aim has always been to try and discover those special artists and albums that can change the shape of your day and celebrate the pieces of music that have done so to ours.
In 2018 we launched our printed publication, A Music Journal. The magazine is beautifully designed and curated, offering more than 100 pages of in-depth and independent music coverage. A Music Journal is entirely independent, made in our home in Glasgow, Scotland, and ships to over 20 countries worldwide. It won ‘Launch of the Year’ at the 2019 Scottish Magazine Awards.
The journal is available via a monthly subscription, or on an issue-by-issue basis.
Please visit our Journal section for more information.
We are a supporter of Keychange’s pioneering international initiative and have committed to achieving at least a 50% representation of women and non-binary people across our writing team and at least a 50% coverage of women and non-binary people across the content in each issue of A Music Journal.
A Music Journal relies upon adverts to help cover the cost of printing.
We keep our rates as low as possible to allow us to work with the independent labels
and artists who are our community’s lifeblood.
If you would are interested in advertising in one of our journals please get in touch.
