From what we can work out Alex Aultman records rather wonderful music under the pseudonym Bearhead. He also makes music as Caves, and he, either on his own or with the help of some friends, has recently released a new self-titled EP and we’re really rather fond of it.

The seven-track release is an often-stunning collection of tracks that rises and falls through a series of down-tempo blips, bleeps and samples. Standouts include Telephone Ghost - with it’s laid-back Summer haze and it’s stifling and shuffling percussion – and the five-and-half-minute bliss of  Up In The Sky; a track that shimmers and shines and takes you just where it promises to in the title.
